About FIKKIA

The Faculty of Health, Medicine, and Life Sciences (FIKKIA) is a name change from the School of Health and Life Sciences (SIKIA) of Airlangga University, which is a transformation of the entity that organizes study programs at Airlangga University in Banyuwangi, which was previously called the Study Program Outside the Main Campus (PSDKU) Banyuwangi.

Approved on October 12, 2023 based on the Decree of the Board of Trustees (MWA) of Airlangga University number 6 of 2023, FIKKIA is expected to be able to manage higher education at Airlangga University in Banyuwangi to be more professional, independent, agile, with better flexibility. FIKKIA opens five Study Programs, namely S1 Veterinary Medicine, S1 Public Health, S1 Aquaculture, and a new study program S1 Medicine and Veterinary Professional Education (PPDH). FIKKIA positions itself as an academic implementing element where the faculty organizes and manages academic education in certain scientific fields. Led by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for the 2015-2020 period, Prof. Dr. Soetojo, dr., Sp.U. (K), FIKKIA is a new faculty of Airlangga University which stands alongside 15 (fifteen) existing faculties.
