Community Service Achievements
Karangrejo Village, Santen Island, Banyuwangi
Community service activities are routinely carried out with residents of Santen Island, Karangrejo Village. Activities are related to the Santen Island revitalization program and Turtle Conservation. Education is provided to the community in the form of training in plastic waste processing and saving turtle habitats.
Plastic waste is processed into multi-purpose ecobricks. The utilization of waste plays a role in restoring the ecosystem function of Santen Island as a place for turtles to lay their eggs.

PPK Ormawa Tamansari Village, Licin, this year has the big theme "Adaptation and Mitigation of Climate Change in Medicinal Plant Conservation Groups in Tabib Village”. The threat of disasters arising from climate change is the background for students Study Program of Veterinary Medicine, Aquaculture, and Public Health.
Therefore, sustainable environmental conservation management is needed, as well as increasing public understanding of the potential for disasters and diseases caused by climate change.

Monitoring is carried out intensively regarding water quality management, feed management, and fish health.

Freshwater fish farming activities as a strategic supplier of fish for consumption are carried out independently by fish farming group Segobang Village, Licin District, Banyuwangi. FIKKIA Aquaculture Cultivators and Study Program learn fish farming berbasis smart automated aquaculture system for 6 months. from June to November 2024.
Monitoring is carried out regarding feed management, water quality checks, and fish health periodically.

The Veterinary Medicine Study Program provides assistance to the Sanggar Etawa Farm Community livestock group, Silirbaru Village, Pesanggaran District, Banyuwangi. Assistance in dairy goat health management aims to find superior quality goat genetics.
In the future, there will be stages of socialization of the use of microchip for farmers in community service programs.
