The growth of tourism activities in Banyuwangi increases population mobility and international travel which has an impact on global health challenges. The emergence of disease and the spread of communicable and non-communicable diseases brings challenges for FIKKIA UNAIR to produce competent health workers Travel Medicine:

• able to identify health risks and problems in the traveler population, in order to understand the spread of disease and its treatment;
• able to design preventive measures (5 level of prevention: health promotion, specific protection, early diagnosis & prompt treatment, disability limitations, & rehabilitation) health problems during travel and tourism activities (pre, durante, post);
• able to carry out trauma and emergency management, including sports injuries, stabilization in transportation, and referral systems;
• able to provide counseling and education related to travel and tourist activities such as airworthiness assessments (fit to fly assessment), travel insurance, repatriation information, personal protection, and medical services in the travel destination area.
• internalize the principles of medical ethics and professional attitudes in the context of patient confidentiality and the integrity of the medical profession.
