Veterinary Professional Education
The Veterinary Professional Education Study Program under the Faculty of Health, Medicine, and Natural Sciences (FIKKIA) Airlangga University in Banyuwangi has the following areas of excellence: Wildlife Conservation Medicine. Veterinarians who focus their competence on the medical aspects of wildlife conservation, also directly play an important role in efforts to preserve wildlife populations and habitats, map the conservation status and epidemiology of diseases in wildlife, anticipate the emergence of new animal diseases originating from wildlife, and optimize management in wildlife conservation institutions, especially in Indonesia.
To become a leading study program at national and international levels through pioneering the development of education, research, community service in the field of veterinary and animal husbandry based on local potential, which is independent, innovative, has religious morals, ethics, and contributes to livestock breeding, environmental sustainability, animal health, community welfare and medical wildlife conservation.
- Organizing academic and professional education in the field of veterinary and animal husbandry based on modern lecture technology, which can produce graduates with professional abilities, especially in the medical field of wildlife conservation and a strong desire to develop their knowledge, with an entrepreneurial spirit, who uphold religious morals and ethics.
- Carrying out innovative and high quality basic, applied and policy research in the veterinary and animal husbandry fields to support the development of science, education and community service, especially in the medical field of wildlife conservation based on religious morals and ethics.
- Dedicating expertise in the field of veterinary and animal husbandry to the community.
- The realization of mutually beneficial partnership relationships with related institutions in order to realize faculty independence that is quality-oriented and has the ability to compete at national and international levels.
- Producing high-quality, dignified graduates who are able to integrate, apply and develop veterinary science, community welfare and wildlife conservation medicine in order to be able to compete at national and international levels.
- Producing innovative research that is able to solve problems that occur in society and encourage the development of science and technology in 41 veterinary fields.
- Producing community service work that can improve the community's ability to identify, formulate and solve problems related to the field of veterinary medicine and wildlife conservation independently and sustainably.
- Realizing the independence of a faculty that is adaptive, creative, and proactive in responding to the demands of scientific and technological developments in the veterinary field.
- Developing an entrepreneurial faculty based on research with world-class excellence based on national values, religious morals, ethics, environmental sustainability, animal welfare and wildlife conservation medicine.
